Summary

This stimulus consists of a plaid presented to both eyes where the phase disparity can be set independently for the two grating components. When viewed stereoscopically, a square-wave version of this stimulus may appear to be two gratings sliding transparently over each other, whereas the components tend to cohere when only the LE or RE stimulus is viewed binocularly.

Parameters

• ph_disp_1 - The phase value (deg) added to the phase of the first component in the RE image.

• ph_disp_2 - The phase value (deg) added to the phase of the second component in the RE image.

• direction - reference direction from which theta1 and theta2 are measured.

• theta1 - direction (deg) of motion of the first component, relative to direction.

• theta2 - direction (deg) of motion of the second component, relative to direction.

• plaid_flag - Type of plaid (0-sinusoidal, 2-squarewave, 3-AND, 4-NAND)

• dichoptic - 4-Disparity plaid. (Other values, not relevant to this stimulus: 0-Left eye only, 1-Right eye only, 2-split, 3-same in both eyes.)

• size - aperture size.
