A target grating (preferred orientation) and an orthogonal mask grating are superimposed and each undergoes independent direction modulation like that of the dirmod stimulus. This stimulus can be used to assess the influence of orthogonal orientation channels on the responses of direction selective units to a moving grating. This series contains eight stimuli, made from various combinations of a slow and a fast target and mask.
