ELC_V1_Simp.0
Equiluminance cells (ELCs) are created within a spiking network model
with connections from the retinal to V1. These cells (the EX_RG
population) respond best to red-green boundaries at
equiluminance. They are constructed by a combination of inputs from
double-opponent inhibitory units, luminance sensitive inhibitory units
and direct single-opponent LGN input. This model supposes that ELCs
may exist in V1, although they have only so far been reported in V4
(Bushnell et al. 2012).
