DS_Pre_Sup.2  This variation was developed to build DS cells using the presynaptic, suppressive DS mechanisms with a higher direction selective index. In this variation we use the DoG.0.b model for the LGN units, which produces stronger F1 response to sinusoidal gratings and lower background firing rate for the LGN units. IN, EX and DS units have also been tuned to have a lower background spike rate and stronger F1 response than the standard model, by adjusting parameters that set the rate and amplitude of background Poisson inputs in these populations, as well as lowering gx_scale in the IN and EX populations. Parameters for the DS interaction remain unchanged from the standard DS_Pre_Sup model.
