DS_Gabor_One
This is among the simplest possible direction selective (DS) models.
It consists of a linear filter followed by half-wave rectification and
then a Poisson spike generator. The linear filter is a Gabor function
in which the sinusoidal grating is tilted in space-time. This model
belongs to a class referred to as
1-branch (Emerson, 1997)
because it has a single L-N pathway. It provides a basic point of
comparison to the output of direction-biased and DS simple cells.
